Whaling Ship Studios is how filmmakers get their start. We are two 19-year-old dudes, one in the Dramatic Writing program at NYU and one currently stuck in Ohio trying to get into the Film program at NYU. We are getting our feet off the ground the only way we know how to: making films. One of the purposes of this blog is to document our beginnings and help other budding film makers get an idea of how to start.

We'll of course post about what we're up to—current projects, scripts, and other dailies—and also link you guys to everything we know—Tutorials, Contests, or other cool stuff. Feedback is awesome, and of course if anyone has anything they'd like to link us to, that'd be appreciated. With all that said, I've been spending too much time blogging and need to get back to compositing.
